It is only the third one we have had in years and this one still has the original composite grip

even though these "versions" were in reality the same product at different stages of a development that lasted from 1926 to 1943

It ppears totally complete and shows its age

It was likely meant for wear in Africa. The front of the cap has a lovely hand embroidered bullion badge, showing a crown over crossed rifles with a 8 device in the center, the insignia of the Italian Infantry, for the 8th Infantry Division or regiment. The cap is in outstanding condition
